Attached to the back of the Diner, is the Sand Bar. The Sand Bar is the best place to gather for cocktails and to watch sporting events. There is great shopping near by. A short 10 min drive into downtown Federal Way, you will find the Commons Shopping Center with stores such as Dick’s, Macy’s, Target and Sears, plus many, many more.
Dash Point is a quiet community that centers more around an active lifestyle. If nightlife is what you seek, you won’t find that in Dash Point. However, a short drive into Federal Way and you will find plenty of restaurants, bars and Century Movie Theaters. If you follow SR 509, then you are only 15 minutes to Downtown Tacoma and all that a big city offers.

In Dash Point, you will find the Dash Point State park. Dash Point State park is a 398 acre camping park with more than 3,000 feet of Puget Sound shoreline. There are trails, 100+ camping sites, and picnic sites, perfect for a day or two of family fun. There are also many parks in the area offering more picnic sites, play structures and ball fields.
Two golf courses are near by. Twin Lakes Golf & Country Club is a private club which offers a 18 hole championship course layout, private club house, out door swimming pool, tennis courts and much more. There are a wide range of membership levels to suit every families needs. The Northshore public golf course is right around the corner and offers an 18 hole course with a full outdoor covered and uncovered, practice facility. Northshore also offers a private clubhouse area that members can use. They also offer a public clubhouse and restaurant.
Getting around from Browns Point is easy. With SR 509 going around the perimeter of Browns Point, you have easy access to downtown Tacoma, and I-5 to easily get north and south on the I-5 corridor. You can also head due east through the Federal Way community of Twin Lakes to get to downtown Federal Way. At only 10 min away, you will find even more shopping and dining options.
